ABM Worldwide Sports Ventures consequent upon contact with African teams during the historic XVII Commonwealth Games successfully hosted in Melbourne from 13 to 26 March 2006 has decided to enter into partnership with relevant bodies in Africa to provide specialized services towards mobilizing support and resources for the grooming of budding Africa talents.

ABM Worldwide Sports Ventures aspires to tap from Australia's vast technical, scientific and material sporting resources for the realization of the objective of enhancing Sports development in Africa by encouraging the participation of a wider spectrum of African Youth in sports development activities.

The firm will be involved in the planning , organization and implementation of grassroots developmental projects such as Championships, Tournaments, Seminars Coaching and other relevant Training Camps with a view to improving the performance of African athletes and teams in international sports events such as Regional Competitions , World Championships, Olympic Games etc.

The firm will also promote and facilitate the participation of African Youths in international educational and training programmes through Scholarships, Awards and other Cross-cultural Exchange programmes, broadly in keeping with the preceding objectives.

ABM Worldwide Sports Ventures will enter into contractual agreements or undertake joint-ventures with individuals or other legally constituted bodies in African nations towards the realization of the aforesaid objectives.

Each project will be administered by a Project Team comprising highly qualified, competent and experienced experts and technocrats in the specified area, cognizance taken of the category, scope and developmental objectives of the project in question.

ABM Worldwide Sports Ventures is managed by competent personnel with considerable experience acquired over the years from active participation in grassroots sports administration in Australia and internationally.

Recently, ABM Worldwide Sports Ventures has been actively engaged in grassroots Sports development in Australia through the management of Kelly Sports franchise. Kelly Sports Franchising Pty. Ltd. is a sports-based company established since 1995 with branches in states across Australia which through sports and entertainment programmes provides pre-School, after-School and other care programmes for Primary school-age children.

ABM Worldwide Sports Ventures, through its adopted methodology for 4 Ds (Dream, Design, Development & Delivery) will collaborate with relevant bodies and authorities for the realization of the following strategic goals:

Setting up of efficient administrative and organizational structures and the provision infrastructure amenities in order to engender unfettered Youth Development through mass participation in Sports and related activities.

Creation of a platform for launching the sporting potentials of African Youths, while exposing them to career and employment opportunities and prompting them towards professionalism in Sports in order to benefit from attendant economic prospects.

Organization of educational and training programmes for the benefit and re-orientation of African Youth for the improvement quality of life, physical well-being and sustainable Sports development

Collaboration with relevant national and other international institutions and Sports governing bodies for the coordination, evaluation and practical application of outcomes of research projects on Sports development

Margaret Mahony OAM, was appointed the ABM Worldwide Sports Ambassador in recognition of her meritorious services and immense contributions to Sports and Youth development in Australia and internationally over the years. It is hoped that her wealth of experience and extensive knowledge in sports will be of significant benefit for the realization of the goals of ABM Worldwide Sports Ventures.

She had held various position s in major national and international sports organizations. She is currently a member of International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF) School/Youth Commission, which aims to make Athletics the number one sport in schools in the coming years. She was in the past a member of the IAAF Women's Committee.

She has had various roles in the sport of Athletics in Australia ranging from Australia Team Manager of Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and World Championships. She was formerly, a member, Board Director of Athletics Australia, as well as Chairperson of Junior Development. She served on voluntary basis as the Team Attache to 'Team Jamaica' for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games

I have accepted my role as ABM Worldwide Sports Ambassador in line with long-standing belief in voluntary service to the human community and commitment to the promotion of individual and collective well being-being and development through Sports.

Inspired by contact with African teams that participated in the historic XVII Commonwealth Games, the Management Team of ABM Worldwide Sports ventures decided to contribute to Sports in Africa talents through the execution of fabulous Sports, Leisure and Recreation programmes under the scheme called 'Projekt Afrika'

It is my strong conviction that the emerging 'Projekt Afrika' is a laudable objective which the sporting world has been awaiting for a long time and I am committed to its realization. I am also certain that with the guidance and effective cooperation of African Sports authorities and leaders, ABM Worldwide Sports Ventures has the expertise and capacity for the delivery if landmark programmes. Projekt Afrika is a winning formula for African Sports and the sky is the limit. Together we strive and together we achieve!
